- James I of England (1566 — 1625). James VI & I (19 June 1566 – 27 March 1625) was King of Scots as James VI from 1567 to 1625, and King of England and Ireland as James I from 1603 to 1625. Iacobus; 19 июня 1566, Эдинбург, Шотландия — 27 марта 1625, дворец Теобальдс (Теобальдс хаус), близ Чезента, графство Хертфордшир, Англия) — король Шотландии (с 24 июля 1567 — под опекой регентского совета, с 12 марта 1578 — единолично) и первый король Англии из династии Стюартов с 24 марта 1603 (провозглашение королем в Эдинбурге 31 марта 1603).
