| Ingratitude written by William Henry Davies |
| From "Songs of Joy", 1911 |
Am I a fool?
So let it be,
For half the world
Will pity me.
Ingratitude
Is not my name;
Thieves, called by that,
Are dumb for shame.
A fool - the world
Will pity me;
Ungrateful - let
No mercy be.
