See Where Young Love

| The Nature Lover written by William Henry Davies |
| From "Secrets", 1924 |
See where Young Love sits all alone,
And sucks his thumb, and broods:
And all because you women have
These ever-changing moods.
See how he sits in this cold air,
That has the breath of tears:
Waiting until your mood has changed,
And one round drop appears.
Till one round trembling tear-drop leaps
From the corner of your eyes -
To show your mood has changed again,
And tears have made you wise.
